Almost Edible was started by Kate, a natural and organic cosmetics formulator with over 20 years of experience. She began formulating in her parents’ kitchen and now works from her own studio in South East London, where she formulates for clients across the UK.

Kate also runs her own product range under Almost Edible, including luxury cosmetics, essential oils, and synergy blends.

Along the way, she kept meeting aromatherapists and holistic practitioners who wanted to create their own products but felt stuck on the legal and technical side. That’s what led her to start offering consultancy: helping practitioners turn an idea into a real, compliant product with confidence, not confusion.

Kate has sold at markets and fairs, and worked with both wholesale and retail stockists, so the advice she gives comes from having actually done it, not just studied it. That same background is why we now offer bespoke workshops for corporate teams, bridal parties, and team bonding days.
